# Section Details panel The Section Details panel provides a tabular overview of all sections in the current tunnel and displays properties for the active section. It is located in the right-side panel of the application window. ## Section Details tab The **Section Details** tab contains a grid listing every section in the tunnel with the following columns: | Column | Description | |---|---| | **Station** | Chainage along the alignment | | **Name** | Section identifier | | **Bearing** | Surveying bearing at the station | | **Template** | Name of the assigned design template | | **Elevation** | Alignment elevation at the station | | **Grade** | Longitudinal gradient in percent | | **Offsets** | Horizontal and vertical offset from the alignment axis | | **Superelevation** | Cross-fall value at the station | ### Navigating with the grid Double-click any row in the grid to navigate directly to that section. The Sections canvas tab updates to display the selected section, and the alignment canvas highlights the corresponding station. ```{tip} The Section Details grid is the fastest way to jump to a specific section when you know its station or name. Combine it with the Prev/Next ribbon buttons for sequential review. ``` ## Properties tab The **Properties** tab shows the CAD object inspector for the currently selected entity on the canvas. When an entity is selected (such as a section line or template line), its geometric and display properties appear here for review. ```{note} The Properties tab reflects the canvas selection. If no entity is selected, the tab is empty. Click on a line or point on the Sections canvas to populate it. ``` ## Status bar The status bar at the bottom of the application window shows the cursor coordinates in the local section coordinate system: - **X** -- horizontal offset from the alignment axis (positive = right, negative = left) - **Y** -- elevation ```{note} These coordinates match the section's local system, not world coordinates. The offset convention follows TunnelCAD's standard: positive offsets are to the right of the alignment axis, negative offsets are to the left. ```
